Returns and exchanges

We hope you will be happy with your purchase from Modish Furnishing however should you wish to return or exchange your order you have 14 days from the date of delivery to do so.

At Modish Furnishing we offer a one year standard manufacturers guarantee on all non-made to order items.

Products to be returned must meet the below conditions:

- Modish Furnishing must be notified of the intent to return an item within 24 hours of the product’s delivery
- Products must be returned in their original packaging
- Customers must pay the return carriage costs.
- Unused and ‘as new’
- Free from damage and defects
- Made-to-order items cannot be returned unless faulty

 

Customers must ensure that their order is in the original packaging and protected for return to avoid damage in transit. Modish Furnishing will not issue refunds for items that have been damaged in the returns process and the item may be sent back to the customer if not returned in a ‘new’ condition. Failure to comply with the above conditions could affect the amount of money being refunded. Refunds will be processed following an item’s return and inspection by Modish Furnishing.

All orders must be inspected by the customer on delivery to ensure damage has not occurred during transit. Please send photo imagery of any damage when requesting a return/exchange.

 

We ask that the purchased item and its packaging is handled with care until you have decided whether you will keep the item. This way if you choose not to, the item can be returned in a reasonable and re-saleable condition using the original packaging. 

Faulty or damaged items

In the unlikely situation where an item arrives damaged we will:
a.) arrange a repair of the product or exchange a faulty part where possible
b.) Offer a partial refund if the item is in a usable condition
c.) Offer a full refund following the faulty item’s return

We will not accept returns for items that meet the below criteria:

- Flat pack furniture which has been assembled
- Items stained or marked by cleaning
 -The customer has attempted to repair an item
- Products that have been damaged following use
- Intentionally damaged items

 

 

Missing or Damaged Parts

  • Please ensure that you check all parts and components prior to assembly. In the event that there are any damages, please do not carry on with assembly and contact us immediately.
  • We hold a back catalogue of parts for most of our products. In the event that you receive an item and there is a missing or faulty part, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your delivery. Please give as much information as possible including the product details, the part number/ID and a description detailing whether the part is missing or damaged. We will then check our stock to see if we hold a replacement part.
  • If we do have the part in stock then we will arrange for this to be sent to you, but in the event that we do not have a replacement, then we will arrange for a swap for you if there is stock, or collect the item and issue you a full refund.

 

Return Cost's

 

£35 will be charged on all furniture related products for arranging a collection for your items if you wish to return them. We also accept returns on our accessories which would be charged at £10.

The reasons we charge for a collection would be the following: The item is not fit for purpose, or in case you change your mind and decide not to keep the item(s).

Returns on damaged/faulty items are completely free of charge. *PLEASE SEE ABOVE CRITERIA*

 

Cancelling your order

  • Orders can be cancelled up to the day before the product is due to arrive. There may be instances where the order has already been processed and we are unable to provide a refund/cancel order before a delivery attempt is made.

 

  • Due to the quick turnaround of our product shipping process. All order cancellations should be made on the same day of the order being placed. Any cancellations after this period may be too late to stop the shipping and will need to be returned as part of our 14 days return period.

 

  • In the event of a refused delivery, we will apply a return postage fee of £35 for furniture and £10 for small accessories, this is to cover the cost incurred to us by the courier. This will be charged back to the customer and taken off any refund given.


Please note: Modish Furnishing is unable to offer a refund on shipping costs due to the use of a third-party
courier service.  This charge does not apply to products that are faulty or damaged: these will be collected
free of charge.
