How to style a decorative tray
Work in odd numbers and vary the height. A tall piece, such as a candle holder or vase, sits at the back. A medium item, like a small stack of books, goes to one side, and a low object such as a bowl or decorative box finishes the group.
Leave a little of the marble showing around each object so the veining and gold handles remain visible. On a dressing table, keep the arrangement simpler with one perfume bottle and a jewellery dish.
Caring for a marble tray
Marble is a natural stone, so the pattern and veining are part of its character. For everyday care, wipe the tray with a soft, damp cloth and dry it straight away. Avoid leaving acidic foods or drinks, such as citrus or wine, sitting on the surface.
When serving cold foods, place them directly on the tray and clean it after use. Lift it by the gold handles rather than the edge, as marble is heavier than metal or wooden trays.
Delivery and returns
When in stock, the tray is dispatched within 24 hours and usually arrives in 2 to 3 days across mainland UK. Orders under £100 have a £5 delivery charge. Orders over £100 are £20. There is no delivery to the Highlands and Islands at the moment.
Returns or exchanges are accepted within 30 days of delivery in the original packaging. Ex-display items are non-returnable. A one year standard manufacturer's guarantee applies, and you can pay in 3 interest-free with Klarna or PayPal.
