Styling a coffee table with storage

Faux leather, marble or metal?
Faux leather boxes feel soft and tailored and come in several neutral shades, so they suit bedrooms and dressing tables. Marble, as on the grey tray with black veining, is heavier and more solid, good for living room surfaces and serving.
The silver bowl is made from textured nickel and aluminium with a reflective finish and simply needs a wipe clean. Mixing two of these materials adds depth to a display while keeping the palette neutral. For example, a taupe faux leather box beside the grey marble tray balances warm and cool tones.
