A guide to our accessories
Building a layered look
Start with the largest piece, usually a rug or a statement mirror, then work down in scale. A 160 x 220cm marble effect rug anchors a seating area, and a framed canvas or arched mirror sets the tone on the wall above.
Next, add texture with cushions and throws. Pair smooth velvet with a bouclé knot cushion or a faux fur blanket for contrast. Finish with one or two small accents, such as a faux leather jewellery box or marble tray, so surfaces feel styled rather than crowded. Repeating a metallic, like gold or silver, across two or three pieces ties the room together.
Velvet, faux fur or shearling?
Velvet cushions, such as the Malini champagne and mushroom designs, bring a soft sheen and feel polished on a sofa or headboard. The square Malini velvet cushion is 50 x 50cm with a feather filling and self piped trim, and is dry clean only.
Faux fur blankets add depth and a cosy, hotel style finish across the end of a bed. Faux shearling throws pair a velvet front with a shearling reverse, so they work hard on cooler evenings. For an easy care option, the Knightsbridge quilted velvet throw is machine washable and generously sized for a king size bed.
Delivery and returns
In-stock items are dispatched within 24 hours. Accessories usually arrive within 2 to 3 days on the UK mainland, while larger items such as floor mirrors travel with partnered 2-man couriers in 3 to 5 days. Orders under £100 cost £5 to deliver and orders over £100 cost £20.
